Big, juicy flavor and a pleasant bitterness are the modus operandi of this beer. Citra and Manderina Bavaria hops make this a smooth drinking, but powerful experience. No need to ask, he’s a smooth operator.

On tap at Whetstone. The beer was clear, light yellow, with a compact white head that persisted.
The smell was fairly typical for a DIPA, but rather mild in the grapefruit with more emphasis on the tropical fruit notes.
A very nice flavor in this beer, but lacking the punch of others in this weight class. The malt was very subdued, and while the smell promised a citrus and tropical fruit melee, it did not really deliver the intense flavors in the taste arena. Mildly bitter.
The feel seemed quite thin for the style, but it was refreshing and easy to drink.
If this did not carry the DIPA designation and was just called an IPA, I think it would be more accurate. As it is called an Imperial IPA, it seems to be fighting above its weight. Tastes very good and I enjoyed it, but in my opinion it misses the Imperial mark. Pleasant beer, but too restrained.
