Starchild lifts off from the southern hemisphere with bursts of spicy tropical notes and burns bright with floral aromas from abundant use of regional S. African hops.

Cloudy straw yellow in color with a thick, bright white head. Nose is very floral and citrus. Taste is tropical fruits with a mild bitterness on backend. I say this is an average hazy.

Interesting. I’m not a fan of NZ hops. Overall, tangy grapefruit, zesty. Well done but not my style of IPA. I prefer a deeper citrus and less tangy in the finish.

Can at The Skinny Pancake, Stowe. Poured out a slightly cloudy golden orange color with a small, white head of foam. It left sudsy lacing. It smelled of orange, grapefruit, guava and caramel. Sweet fruity taste with tropical notes, caramel and a sharp bitterness.

Don't we love it when two stars get together and make a little star baby? And such a star child is born to the Frost Beer Works team with a hazy IPA that focuses on the greener side of taste.
Pale yellow and cast in a pastel haze, Star child floats a creamy stark white foam and a racy scent of tropical, citrus, herbal, berry and vinous perfumes that leap right out. Its soft sweetness carries a light cereal character with dashes of powdered sugar and candied citrus. And that citrus character carries over to a hop profile of under ripened orange, white grapefruit, lime and lemon. Tropical flavors of passionfruit and kiwi lead into gooseberry and white grape for a juicy, rounded an nearly tangy fruit impression. Finishing with a bitter honeydew character, the late taste is spicy with spruce, hemp, sasafras and lemongrass for a bittersweet finish.
Medium bodied and closing with a "green" astringency, the session leaves slightly more bitter impressions than sweet ones and lasts into a winey, spicy and hemp-like aftertaste.

Can: Poured a hazy/cloudy yellow color ale with a medium white foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of citrusy hoppy notes with some juicy floral hops undertones and some light tropical notes. Taste is also a good mix of citrusy hoppy notes with some juicy floral hops undertones notes, some light tropical notes and a semi-dry finale. Body is full for style with good carbonation. Nice NEIPA with good use of Nelson Sauvin hops notes.

Having this one on draught in a snifter.
Pours up a murky/pale golden color. Initial head is decent, doesn’t last though.
Smell is very citrusy, when the beer arrives you can smell it at arms length. A predominant characteristic.
Flavor is good, citrus dominates with substantial pine notes. A bit of a sour finish though.
The feel is pretty decent, the combination of citrus and sour seem to emphasize abundant carbonation bite on the tongue at the finish.

Decent NEIPA offering with typical New Zealand hop flavors of kiwi, melon, cantaloupe, white wine, and lemon meringue. At 6% ABV, it lacks some body that could be had if it were stepped a notch or two into that 7-8% range. Enjoyable enough however, with a dry, lightly dank, bitter finish. Drinkable enough and would be happy to have more.

Can dated 6/25/24 into pint glass. Pours a murky light gold with a brief off-white head. Not much lacing. Initial impression is juicy citrus, grapefruit, and orange peel. Mouthfeel is soft and fairly thick. Finish fades to slightly bitter citrus. Overall, a very enjoyable NEIPA and one that I'll revisit soon.

Five weeks since pint canned. Poured into an oversized snifter-like glass.
Misty clouded pale light golden color brew topped with a clean white cap. Paint spray lacing.
Light and clean aromas; the tropical leans toward berries and the citrus has a touch of very light orange. Lightly dank and wheat.
The description cites spice, I’ll go with tropical juice tang. Scraped pineapple from the inside of the rind, strawberry, too. Very light wheat base.
Light and spicy juiced feel. Hopped up with minimal bitterness.
Frost knows how to hop brew uniquely, no matter the style.

Very large, 2/3 of the pint glass, initial head. It steadily goes down forming large bubbles and a lumpy top. The liquid is appropriately cloudy giving a white hue to the lighter gold color. Thinner streaks remain as the head subsides.
Some pine and weeds to the aroma on the initial whiff. The malt is in the background, semisweet and balancing to the nose. A touch of cream. Later, I get some apricot and grapefruit rind.
Aside from the watery (thin bodied) feel, this is a complex beer. I pick up unsweetened pineapple and other tropical juices. Still, I'd describe it as dry. The pale malt provides the base. At the swallow, white pepper, alcohol warmth, and grapefruit rind come in and create a longer aftertaste.
