16 oz. can. Hazy pale orange. Smells of strong mosaic hops and popcorn malt. Tastes of very strong Mosaic also. Not the standard garlicky Mosaic, though. Light tropical fruit and an earthy back end. Back end has lingering Mosaic bite, some sweet malt, and a corn aftertaste. Just about no bitterness. Pleasant hop flavor, but lacking in other aspects.

So I had this in October 2019's trip to New England, but not exactly sure where I had this, best guess is at Foam Brewer's. Looks like this was the next beer I had after we left Lawson's.

Pours a light amber and bright orange color with 1/2" white head on the top. Shit man this is a real sexy beer. Aroma pops obvious Mosaic, but it also had that weed like CTZ note with it too, but I guess there is a good amount of overlap between those two hops in terms of the aromatics they bring to the game, that dank, humid, garlic mango weed nugs aspect.

Taste was nice too, just a hit of a maltier specialty to pair up a hint of sticky with the Mosaic sticky icky, had a maltier appearance than played out, which was nice, average tropical fruit notes keep coming. Bitterness was in firm 55ibu range. Still crisp. Always nice when you come across a very good beer from a brewery you had no idea existed. Kind of easy to take a chance on a mosaic hopped ipa though. You screw that up, just pack it in man.

L: Very light orange - beautiful 2 inches of long-lasting foam head. Coming from a can dated 12/30/19.

S: Very aromatic - mosaic hops with signature fruity kick. Evident even once you crack open the can.

T: Definitely get that sweet set of papaya/mango notes from mosaic. After that, you detect malt/wheat and even a bit of alcohol.

F: Peppery tang. Not a particularly full-bodied beer and although there was lots of head, my pour was only lightly carbonated.

O: Frost is mixing it up with their research series. They are best known for Lush and I've had a few others from them, but enjoyed this. I think single hop series are always a bit of a gamble in that they can lack complexity and this was relatively simple in that sense. A good beer if offered, but not exactly something I would really seek out again.

16oz can. Pours a turbid brownish orange color with an inch of frothy head. Some lacing. Lots of the mosaic hops in the nose. Grapefruit, orange, berries, guava and lime. The taste is more of the grapefruit, guava and berries. Fair amount of malt flavor. Orange, grapefruit and toasted malt finish. Medium body with lots of carbonation. Soft mouthfeel. Good showcase of a great hop.

16 oz. can.
Bottom of can:
"LID-ERAL
INSANITY
07/22/19"
5 days old.
Moderate pour yields a one inch white head over a light golden, hazy body with some lacing. Nose of citrus (orange, ruby red grapefruit), slight tropical fruit, and even slighter popcorn. Taste of citrus mostly, with slight mango, and finishing with orange. Very nice feel and overall, another nice single IPA from Hinesburg, VT.
Cheers!!!
