This one pours a very dark black color, with a small head, and a little bit of lacing.
This smells like very roasty malt, oak, licorice, dark chocolate, and coffee.
There’s not a ton of barrel here, maybe some oak spice or something like that. Luckily, the base Heavy stout is quite good anyway, with a very roasty taste, lots of dark chocolate, and some licorice.
This is medium bodied, with a touch of boozy warmth, and a decent drinkability.
Even though this had very little barrel, it was still a nice stout.

A: Pours a pitch black color with 2 fingers of head that fades down to a thin cap
S: Roasted malt, bourbon, dark chocolate, coffee, vanilla, caramel, and oak
T: Follows the nose. Starts off with the roasted malt, bourbon, dark chocolate, and coffee. Picks up the caramel, vanilla, and oak. Finishes with lingering bourbon and roast
M: Medium-full bodied with low-moderate carbonation
O: A very good BBA imperial stout that makes for a great sipper. Fairly standard but extremely well executed. Worth checking out

16 oz. can.
Moderate pour yields a 1/2 inch tan head over a near black body with some lacing. Nose of dark roasted malt, dark fruit, bitter chocolate, and slightly boozy oak. Taste mirrors nose with a bit of chocolate covered cherry flavor and more booze. Nice feel and overall, a complex stout worth seeking out. Cheers to the crew from Hinesburg, Vermont!
