Can to tulip.
Dated "09/19/19."
This was poured into a tulip.
The appearance was a fairly thick and nice looking opaque burnt orange color with a subtle brightness about it. A sheet of white foamy head dissipated to and left caked lace somewhat filmy but eventually sliding.
The aroma had some sweet nuts, creamy lactose/cake, soft sweet wood, some floral hops and some citrus fruits.
The flavor leaned towards the sweet side pulling all of the prior mentioned aromas together. Not much juiciness as the can suggests. Semi-sticky aftertaste of citrus fruits and creamy lactose-like cake quality.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied with a fair sipping quality about it. Nice low key carbonation. Finish was fairly nutty sweet with some juicy citrus.
Overall, odd DIPA but enjoyable. I remember a Foam Brewers beer quite similar to this and I did like that one (though the name I'm forgetting at the moment). I'd come back to this.
