Can stamped 12/17/19.
This was poured into a tulip.
The appearance was a fairly nice looking murky burnt orange color with a two finger white foamy head softly dissolving to leave some messy sticky lace.
The aroma had some shaved lemon peel, grassy hop notes, subtle spicy crisp hop character and a clean biscuit malt backbone.
The flavor seemed to blend all of the prior mentioned aromas together in a sweet to semi-spicy fashion with a nice scaled back dry hopping not overly done as I thought it would be. Mild aftertaste of zesty lemon rind bitterness and some spicy grassy hops.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied with a fair sipping quality about it. Nice low carbonation as expected but with a certain dryness causing the sipping I was doing. Some bitterness in the finish with semi-sweet lemony tones, fairly dry.
Overall, pretty good New England styled IPA with a bit more bitterness than expected that could cause some to think this could be construed as an American imperial IPA.
