Frost Beer Works

IPA - Imperial / Double

A multi blend of yeast and very unique hop combo proves to be very unique and interesting. Hop flavors are peppery raspberry and candied fruits. Super smooth texture gets grainy and dry in the finish. I think the yeast blend adds fruity funk with the hops

Orange, mango, banana. Tropical notes all around. But new Zealand definitely comes through. I even get coconut. Some chalkiness on the mouthfeel. It's definitely interesting. Not bad.

Sampling at the brewery in a small taster glass.
Pours a medium, somewhat cloudy orange with a full head.
Smells of tropical fruit.
Full mouth feel.
Tastes of oranges and pineapple.
Yummy!

Pours a hazy orange color with a 1F head and moderate lacing.

Smells of slightly dank floral hops with citrus.

Tastes of orange, cantaloup and mango with a persistent lightly bitter finish.

Medium body with light carbonation. Smooth, dry mouthfeel.

This is an unusual brew that delivers its juicy bits first and its bitter one second. Since it's experimental, I would vote for more sweet and less bitter.
