A traditional, malt-forward, British-style beer, light copper in colour. Enjoy its moderate hop flavour and light bitterness.

I bought a can from the brewery.
355ml at 5%.
Poured a 1 to 2finger head into glass.
Color is foggy orange or copper looking it's a very nice color
Very smooth leaving a lace as you drink it.
This English pale ale seems perfectly balanced it's not that sweet which I like .
Overall a very good English Pale Ale .
Would definitely buy again.
Cheers.

Pours a slightly cloudy deep rich copper colour with a creamy head and dense lacing. Aroma caramel with grassy hops. Flavour: nicely balanced malt sweetness to clean noble hop bitterness.

On tap at Bentley's in Stratford. Great Amber colour with good head. Full malt nose and medium body. Smooth substantial beer.

32 oz. screwtop bottle from the brewery; filled May 19 2015 and served slightly chilled. The porter and Wild Child were automatic pick-ups, but it took me a few moments to decide between this English-style pale ale and their IPA.
Pours a clear orange-amber hue, producing one finger of loose, spongy-looking off-white head. It melts away over the next minute or so, leaving behind a bare, wispy surface and a thin collar of froth. The aroma is... how shall I put this... subdued? I really can't smell much of anything until it warms up to cellar temperature. At that stage, it comes off a bit sweet and bready, with suggestions of orchard fruit and sponge toffee. Not bad, but turn the dial up a little.
I like this one - not at all complex, just very approachable and drinkable. It begins with a mild toffee sweetness, followed up with a pleasant, biscuity, toasted-bread malt profile. Notes of candied citrus gain a bit of momentum briefly, but are soon passed over by grassy, leafy hop notes of a decidedly British bent. It finishes bittersweet, with a touch of metallicity and toasted bread. Medium-light in body, with gentle carbonation levels that lightly agitate the palate, resulting in a wonderfully smooth mouthfeel. A few pints of this at a British pub would not seem out of place at all.
Final Grade: 3.69, a B grade. Black Swan's English Pale Ale is a very respectable session ale that I am glad I picked up. Personally, I would have called this one an English Bitter, but that's just my take 200 mL into my first glass (and there is tons of overlap between these styles anyway). Fans of old staples like Abbot Ale, Bombardier, St. Peter's English Ale and comparable British imports will certainly want to give this one a try. Worth a shot, but keep in mind that this is very much a beer for drinkin', not for contemplatin'.
