Hazy deep golden color. Brief head that leaves streaks of lace.
A nice combination of floral and fresh grated citrus rind.
The taste has a Juicy-fruit quality. The hop is pronounced enough to provide balance and predominately bitter aftertaste. Neutral body and effervescence. There's some alcohol warmth in the swallow which illustrates the high abv of 8.4%.

From Medusa website: "The latest development in our series of hoppy lager experiments, Diabolist was brewed on a base of German Pilsner malt, Patagonian caramel malt and locally malted wheat. We then generously hopped it with Mosaic, Mandarina Bavaria, Meridian, and Teamaker."
Drank today from a growler filled today the brewery; there should be an American imperial pale lager category IMO; excellent beer from Medusa, one of the best I have tried from them
