Our interpretation of a Halloween/Autumnal berlinerweisse. Brewed with 150lbs of roasted pumpkins, 40lbs of toasted pumpkin seeds, and a heaping helping of blackstrap molasses. All adjunct prep work was done by Frank and Maryann at their house, and the pumpkins and seeds were from Coppal House Farm in Lee, NH.

Poured into a stange.
The appearance was a semi-hazy burnt orange close to amber color with a quickly dissipating finger's worth of white foamy head. Barely any lace.
The aroma had some roasty to smoky sort of seed-like sweetness flowing over some earthy tones. Light toast, some caramel, and then a little bit of lemon tartness.
The flavor was moderately sour with the roasty to smokiness coming slyly with the seeds and earthiness. Slight aftertaste of some lemon tones with some mineral water.
The mouthfeel was about medium bodied with a fair sipping to sessionable quality about it. Carbonation felt low. ABV felt on par. Slight seed-like to roasty, smoky and tart finish.
Overall, I liked this for me as I can see it being a nice Autumnal sort of beer, but as a Berliner Weisse, somewhat a swing and a miss to me. Final score - I'm going to have lean towards a slight bias of personal preference but Berliner fans, I'm pretty sure you'll be disappointed with this.

4oz taster at the source.
Deep amber copper color with a frothy off white head that shows great retention. I'm getting caramelized honey, toast, lemony tartness and light earth on the nose. The flavor is lemony tart with caramelized sugar and a non descript fruitiness. I taste a light smokiness that really melds with the lactic bite. I would have never guessed pumpkins unless you told me. I almost didn't order this because I hate pumpkin beers, so glad I did!

Poured from a fresh growler picked up at the brewery. This beer poured a nice light orangey golden color. There is a nice soft pumpkin aroma in the nose with perhaps a slight aroma from the toasting of the seeds. The taste is a fairly classic Gose with a nice salty flavor but with the added pumpkin coming through. It is a nice tart flavor not overly done and follows the Gose style very well. The mouth feel is crisp and clean with no lingering aftertaste. A very well done beer in the Gose style and a great change for a fall pumpkin beer.
