On-tap at the brewery. Pours the color and clarity of unpasteurized cider with a consistent white band around the edges and an oily slick across the center. Nose expresses apple cider vinegar and some medicinal notes. Taste again reveals some medicinal notes as well as toasted malts and a suggestion of cherry Sucrets. Mouthfeel is light-medium in body with an even carbonation and a tangy finish. Overall - not a go to style for my but pretty decent with a fair amount of complexity.

Amber mahogany in color. Clear in appearance. It's the weirdest Bier de Garde I've ever tasted. More sour and tart than I was expecting. almost came across as a Flanders Red. Red fruits, raspberry and cherry and an earthy, dry malt backbone.

Growler from Brewery: This one pours a somewhat opaque, ruby tinged mahogany color. There was a small off white head that didn’t linger. Good nose. Malty, earthy with a hint of funkiness. Malts and fruits also. The taste is good. A subdued sweetness mingled with just a bit of sourness. Earthy, caramel malts, some fruits. A very nice beer!
