From a 16oz can, dated 03/06/18. Served in an IPA glass.
Pours a dull, clouded apricot-orange with a scant finger of soft, creamy head. Not much in the way of retention, just a thin, soapy collar and a slippery curtain of lacing.
Beautiful nose of rich, ripe, aromatic tropical fruits, allspice and vanilla.
Taste is well-balanced with thick bready malt and overripe melon, sweet, sticky pineapple and orange, bitter grapefruit juice and peel and a hint of spruce tips. Juicy, dense and dank with medium-low bitterness. A little composty melon and a boozy haze lingers briefly.
Feel is thick and juicy, medium-hefty bodied with slight carbonation.
Overall, a dense juice-bomb that sits rather heavy on the palate. Delicious, but I felt the need to loosen my belt as I drank it down.
