DECIDUOUS SUN DAY IPA 3.0 7/30/18
Another new release from this experimental-oriented brewery. A previous version which was apparently only brewed once received three reviews approaching a 4.6 average. This one is described on their website as "Hoppy Ale Series with Milk Sugar, Hopped with Citra and fruited with Peach, Apricot and Mango."
Poured from the 16 oz. can into a Tree House stemmed tulip.
a: Cloudy dark yellow/light orange.
s; Very mild citrus.
t; A sort of peach flavor with a mild hop bite over a substantial biscuit malt base. Later the added fruit becomes more dominant.
m; Medium plus, very good body and light carbonation tingle.
o; Initial taste was favorable as a good pale ale, mildly and rather ambiguously fruity. As it warmed, it first went to bland to definite apricot/mango fruitness.. Not as consistently tasty overall as the Fieldwork 7.0 issued at the same time (last Friday) and reviewed yesterday. But a pretty good easy drinking refresher with a hefty look and feel and a certain complexity from the various ingredients. Like Fieldwork, however, the lack of a head or lacing is not visually impressive.
