Growler for the source
Hazy murky lemon yellow with a thin white head that dissipates quickly. Earthy fruity lemony tropical citrusy nose and flavor. Lightly gritty mouthfeel. Pretty tasty beer.

DECIDUOUS RESEARCH 6.0 IIPA 9/5/18
A month old.
Poured from the 16 oz. can into a pina colada goblet.
a; Lush cloudy gold/orange with a slight white head which receded quickly to a narrow ring of foam and a few patches.
s; Moderately strong citrus leaning to orange.
t; Strong citrus and pine resin with moderate-plus bitterness hits your mouth immediately. Bitter dry finish fades after a bit.
m: Solid medium, very good body and some carbonation tingle.
o: Liking this much better than their Fieldwork 7.0, although this one also lacks a significant beer head. A powerful-tasting IIPA that is both refreshing and chewy, with gangbuster flavors that just won't quit.

Cans went on sale a few days ago - they describe it as "hopped with Citra, Amarillo, Simcoe and Vic Secret"
Pours a very cloudy pale gold color, much like white grapefruit juice. Not much head at all, starts out a half-fingerand with a strong fizz action but settles very quickly to a film ring along the glass only.
The aroma is a little sweet and very rich with peach and tangerine notes.
Taste is strong hops up front with a moderate bitterness that tends to obscure the delicate peach notes. It comes across as more of a tart grapefruit or orange pith flavor. The finish occasionally allows a sweeter orange flavor to peek through. Body is a little thin and watery with very little malt coming through.
Feel is very soft and lightly carbonated. Again, moderately bitter for NEIPA standards. No alcohol burn at all.
Not what I was expecting and I think it could use some fine-tuning really, but it is a very enjoyable beer that I will be happy to grab from a fridge full of other varieties.
