DECIDUOUS BLANKET OF STARS IMPERIAL MILK STOUT 12/26/18
A new issue which my daughter got at the brewery last Friday.
Poured from the 16 oz. can into a Samuel Smith English tulip.
a; Opaque black with a 3/4 inch thick tan head which receded slowly to thin surface foam and dense spotty lacing.
s: Mild roasty malt leaning to milk chocolate.
t; Follows the nose along with some alcohol and moderate bitterness balanced somewhat by sweetness. Bittersweet finish. later some vanilla notes become more prominent. Covers its high ABV fairly well, although you get hints of it in the throat now and then.
m: Silky medium plus, very good body and some carbonation tingle.
o; An exceptional milk stout, very smooth and flavorful. Worth its price ($6/can).
