From a 750ml growler, filled at the brewery 06/27/19. Served in a cervoise.
Pours an opaque, milky-murky sort of grapefruit juice-color with a finger-plus of ivory-white, soft suds. Retention is just OK, but leaves a creamy cap and a thin curtain of slippery lacing.
Smell has a mild creamy, fruity sweetness, sort of like banana cream pie or something, that I’m having a hard time accounting for. Sweet orange and canned pears. Soft and enticing.
First taste impression is of pears and vanilla sugar cookie, then a little underripe pineapple, sweet orange and woody pine. Dank with substantial earthy bitterness.
Feel is clean and juicy. It looks like it should be heavy as sin but is really no more than medium bodied and brightly carbonated at that. Super-easy drinking!
Overall, excellent! I just rated my last Deciduous NEIPA rather highly so I feel like a goof having to rate this one even higher but, sweet fuck, it is sincerely delicious.
