Half liter bottle gifted by daughter for Christmas 2019. Poured from the bottle into a Samuel Smith English tulip.
a; Opaque black with very slight clear ruby at the bottom. Thin 1/8th inch brown head which receded to wispy surface foam, a thin ring of foam along the edges of the glass and a little spotty lacing.
s: Mainly whiskey and milk chocolate.
t; Follows the nose followed by a sharp bite including throat burn which lingers on the sweet chocolate finish. Throat burn dissipates soon enough and the overall effect is the high 11% ABV is well covered.
m: Medium, silky smooth, good body and some carbonation tingle.
o: A real taste and mouthfeel treat, with mild bourbon and milk chocolate flavors combining for a very pleasant drinking experience.
