Our Second Anniversary Beer. Dry hopped with Galaxy, Citra, Mosaic, Amarillo, and Simcoe hops. This Double IPA smells like fresh citrus with hints of lemon zest, honeydew melon, and floral notes.

Thank you EMH73 for this
16 oz can, dated 9/22/20, poured into a snifter
A- A hazy orange copper with a two finger white head.
S- Tropical fruits, some pineapple and mango, citrus, touch of oranges, piney, slightly dank, hints of malts.
T- Pineapple, grapefruit, some mangos, citrus rind, big piney finish that’s a little dank as well.
M- Smooth, a little creamy, medium to full body.
O- A really nice DIPA, it’s juicy but not a juice bomb. At first I was going to knock it some for the bitterness but I noticed that it is not saying it is a NEIPA anywhere so the bitterness is great for a DIPA.

Along with ONE, I traded for this ages ago and took a while to get around it. The former was a great beer and I didn't think that anything from Sand City could measure up to it, but this came pretty close as it was also immensely smooth and enjoyable; especially for an old beer that wasn't dated on the bottom of the can!
Once again, this had a cloudy hue to it but it wasn't as bright as I would like as the muted goldenrod had just a bit of light seeping in around the edges. Plenty of soapy foam topped it off but the lacing was only seen around in scattered splotches near the top of my pint glass. Tons of tropical fruit, citrus juice, and dank rind in the nose as the taste contained all of those to a slightly greater extent. Sweet malt, heavy citrus, onion and chive spice, and herbal tea rounded out the full, varied, and cohesive taste that was quite herbal and strong; while holding it's flavor together throughout. An orange blossom citrus and minty tang lingered on the palate for the duration, and after I finished this off, as the turbid, deep, dank outdoorsy feel of this beer held everything together from start to finish.
Plenty of booze in this and yes, I could feel it but it didn't seem as strong as it was in actuality. I love this brewery and do what I can to trade for it and their anniversary beers show me why my feelings are justified. Easily one of their best and one of the better examples of an Imperial IPA that I've ever had!

Poured from a 16oz can into a speiglau IPA glass.
Look is a light hazy orange with a thin white head.
Aroma is bitter tropical mango, delicious.
Body is a little thin, but tropical fruit taste makes it completely good.

Enjoyed from a tall can...no dating info that I can find
Pours the de rigueur super cloudy/turbid, lasting frothy cap, and leaves extensive rings of sheeting.
Ripe tropical on the nose with pineapple coming to mind, I also get a hint of the dreaded (at least to me) chives/onions.
More of the same notes on the palate, waves of tropical fruit, some peaches and general dank juicy goodness.....more great beer from SCBC
