On tap at Sand City in Northport.

Pours a hazy dark yellow with soft, fluffy head.

Smell is intense, tropical and slightly sweet with notes of mango, pineapple and some vanilla.

Taste is outstanding. Tropical and juicy with intense notes of mango and pineapple, followed by some sweet vanilla and a strong, rich bitterness and perfect hop bite. Balance is spot on and no hint of booze.

Mouthfeel is medium to full, soft and supple with good carbonation.

Overall, an outstanding DIPA, one of the best beers out of about 185 on this trip. My company (EMH73) said my eyes just lit up on the first sip and just kept on sparkling.

Pours a hazy gold color with a half inch, very well retained white head that left tons of lacing. Smells of citrus and tropical fruits, a bit of malts and pine. Tastes of grapefruit, orange, orange peel, ripe pineapple, sweet malts, floral and herbal notes. Medium to full bodied for the style, soft carbonation, smooth and creamy mouth feel, moderate bitterness.

No canning date on this one but judging from the strong hop aroma it can't be more than a month or two old. Pungent new-wave hop aroma, lots of pineapple. Lots of pineapple in the flavor profile as well with a bit of peach & passionfruit. Slightly dry finish and the 9% abv burn is almost non-existent. I can see why Sand City is highly regarded, this is a fantastic DIPA. 4.55/5
