330 ml can, from the Norwegian importer. ABV is 5.5%. Very pale golden colour, moderate white head. Aroma of citrussy and piney American hops. Refreshing flavour, good citric and piney American hops throughout, still with a "pilsener" character - sort of.

33cl can, 1m old.

Quite a lot of foam, but little staying power. Very clear straw.

Nose is pure restrained citrus hops with just a whiff of the grainy aroma of a pilsner. Quite simple but clean and pleasant.

Taste is that of a quite watery APA. Nice. And that is the long and short of it. As a style hybrid, does not work as there is no new identity or combination of taste elements coming together.

L- Pale gold, very slight haze. Limited rising CO2 into lacing/head.
S- Citrus, clean, fresh. I'm getting this more and more from beers in London these days
T- Hoppy dry front. Ebbs away to lighter mild fruits. Dryness still on the tongue. There's something akin to sour cherry right at the end.
F- Rather thin for 5.5%. Plus the CO2 deadens quickly in the mouth, though it was pretty low prominence beforehand.
O- Another very hoppy beer, but without much body or sustainable CO2 to quite carry it off. Probably wouldn't buy again.
BB 12/7/19. 330ml. £1.75 at Tesco.

Can. Clear straw. Extra thick head. Frothy.
Hops come through strongly in the aroma.
Resinous, fruity and quite dry upon tasting.
Medium feel and body.
A typical american cross breed and quite some distance from a true pilsner.

Slightly hazy gold, small-ish head.

definite new world hop nose, modern pale ale territory

medium grapefruit bitterness, low malt character.

I would have guessed this to be an APA with little to no crystal.

It's pleasant enough

Pours much darker than expected for a pilsner with a medium head that left some bits of lace. Nose is APA all the way with fruity tropical hops. Maybe not to style, but quite nice actually. The taste brings it back down to earth, as none of the juicy hops seem to carry over and you are left with an average grainy euro-lager. Not bad, but not great. Overall, pretty good for that initial whiff, but just so-so in the end. Probably would seem pretty good later in the night after you've had a few other beers already.

A 330ml can with a BB of June 2018. Purchased a little while back from Tesco. The label describes it as a pilsner hopped with US hops from the Yakima valley.

A: Poured into a tulip. A rich golden-amber colour with light carbonation and chunky suspended sediment. Yields a large head of frothy white foam that lasts for a minute or so before collapsing and dissipating.

S: Aroma of intensely fruity hops with hints of tropical fruit, mango, citrus, peel, melon, grain, pale malt and subtle earthy yeast. A vague vegetal note lurks in the background. Smells great - hops galore.

T: Tastes of intense aromatic hops with notes of tropical fruit, citrus, grapefruit, melon, faint herbs, mild caramel, grainy malt and a touch of earthiness. A robust, hop-driven bitterness upon swallowing.

M: Mouthfeel is smooth and tingly, with soft carbonation and good body. Could be a tad livelier. Aftertaste of fruity aroma hops, bitterness and subtle malt.

O: Rather nice - a clean, hoppy pilsner. Subpar looks; no head and swirling protein. However, the aroma and flavour are great with tons of fruity hops notes underpinned by light, grainy malt. Good body - a shade more carbonation wouldn't hurt. It could also be drier, but perhaps the impression of sweetness comes from the hops. Very drinkable and well worth sampling.

Canned
Pours a crystal clear golden body with big foaming white head that retreats but pretty much covers the surface
Big grapefruit aroma
So you've got that bitter fruit flavour up front then not
