Overachiever exceeds expectations by packing the citrusy, juicy hop character of an IPA into an obsessively drinkable pale ale. Brewed with local malt from our friends at Epiphany Craft Malt. Simcoe, Centennial and Strata hops provide notes of citrus, pine, and tropical fruits
Style: IPA / Pale Ale
Flavor Profile: Fruity / Hoppy

6-pack purchased from brewery with presumably canned on date of Nov 11 24. Poured into a Samuel Adams Perfect Pint.
A: Slightly hazy gold with 1-finger off-white foamy head with average retention and a band or two of lacing.
S: Aroma is light and mostly tea, pine, and orange with toasty pale malt
T: Flavor is a couple notch upgrade from the aroma with more orange, pineapple, white grapefruit, peach, sun tea, and a nice back end toasty, malty note. Bitterness is low-medium. Esters are very low.
M: Feel is also right on target for style with light body, moderate carbonation, and dry finish.
O: WR Overachiever is an excellent example of the newer gen APA - some modest malt complexity without caramel notes but going for toasty-bready malt and classic hop flavors with a lot of nuance and breadth. Great beer - look for it in CLT.

Delicious, new era Pale Ale; fruity, well balanced, slightly hoppy; would call this a cousin of creature comforts Automatic- worth seeking out, would love to have again!

Crowler filled 12/29/16
Hazy glowing orange with a sticky, soapy white head. Light hoppy aromas of grape and stone fruit over a nice bed a biscuit malts. Mild, balanced flavor...soft peachy pine, tea, and floral hops with a solid base of grain. Pretty light with low carbonation. A pale ale that isn't trying to be anything else...I like it.
