At 5.1% ABV, Thicket as Thieves starts life as a sour farmhouse ale brewed entirely with local malt from Riverbend Malt House. It is then re-fermented on over 1 pound per gallon of blackberry puree for a delightfully tart and juicy flavor with a dry finish.

Appearance: Arrives with a raspberry jam color (though this is brewed with blackberries) and is capped by a mauve head that leaves a few squiggles behind
Smell: Blackberry puree, with a tart edge
Taste: Fruit forward, with the blackberry puree flavor building in tartness, through the middle; after the swallow, the flavors remain intense, with a dry, oaky finish
Mouthfeel: Medium body with moderate carbonation; somewhat puckery
Overall: This beer clearly benefited from its time in the foeder, as you can taste the oak in the finish; another nice sour from the Wooden Robot team
