This is an effervescent, moderately turbid golden IPA with a brief-lived, medium pebbly white head that leaves good lacing in the form of sticky bands and caverns. The aroma is a big, enticing blend of ruby grapefruit, cannabis and spicy florals with more subtle grassy and tamarind notes, all topped by modest alcohol overtones. Up front, the flavor is moderately bitter grassy grapefruit backed by sweet florals; mid-palate the bitterness rolls back to mild for the style as the malt emerges, manifesting as a modest bittersweet nutty character and a largely-obscured bready malt foundation. The grassy character becomes more assertive, and the cannabis and spicy florals from the nose appear. The finish is moderately nutty and slightly grassy, followed by the onset of a modestly bitter grassy pine bitterness that lingers for quite awhile. Retrogustative olfaction is strongly celery-like. Mouthfeel is on point for the light body, and is moderately astringent; texture is medium-creamy and modestly peppery from the well-expressed carbonation. (growler, 17 days after kegging)
