Look: It pours very dark brown with a somewhat dark brown head. Head retention is good.
Smell: There is a strong combination of malt and fruity esters with the malt being a bit more dominant. The malt is fairly balanced between caramel and chocolate. The fruity esters are mostly of plums and prunes.
Taste: The flavors are balanced towards the malt. There are various chocolate flavors with some caramel. There are some coffee and roast note in the background. As with the aroma, there are some dark fruits although they are not as strong. There are plum and prune notes in the background.
Feel: It is full bodied with medium carbonation.
Overall, this is a very malt forward and flavorful baltic porter that has some esters in the background with no hop flavor.
