Utterly hazy body, not even allowing silhouettes through thicker portions of the glass. Good head production; modest retention and very little lacing.
What an aroma! Absolutely leaps from the glass with notes of citrus and both bright and dank herbs. Tangerine, grapefruit, pepper, grass, mango, papaya, weed, basil.
A bit lighter on the palate than expected, but just as hoppy - and danker. Pine, weed, orange creamsicle, mango, tangerine, oregano, grass, cracker, agave nectar.
With an aroma that punches well above its weight class, you would be forgiven for expecting this to be a thicker, creamier brew on par with an imperial. It's a touch creamy, but overall it lands with just the right amount of liveliness and crispiness it should for the ABV. There's so much late- and dry-hopping that the bitterness sneaks up on you - it's present, but not right away, building through the sip.
