Undated bottle at 42 degrees into a nonic, allowed to warm to 50 degrees
$ 18/26.9 oz bottle ($ 0.694/oz) at brewery
Aroma weak – malt and herbal hops
Head large (6.5 cm, aggressive pour), light tan, frothy, diminishing to four mm frothy ring and layer
Lacing fair – partial curtains of tiny to medium bubbles
Body on the brown side of amber, almost clear
Flavor – very weak whiskey flavor, very slight malt. This is detrimental to the usual excellent quality of Scarlet Lady ESB. Faint hops, no alcohol, no diacetyl.
Palate light to medium, watery, soft carbonation
