I found it interesting that the White Dog Cafe was selling their contract-brewed house beer around town. Or even having it bottled for that matter when it's probably almost all sold in-house. You'd think they'd make more on draft. But maybe they feel that getting it out and about is good advertising. Or maybe this was just a special bottling for events that got leaked out into the public. Anyway...
I'm pretty sure that this is just the Stoudt's Gold repackaged. However, it is a nice beer. It's gives a good appearance with a slightly hazy deep gold body and tenacious head that leaves nice lace. The nose is appealing with a rich, cereal-like malt character and some floral and grassy hops. The medium body and fine-bubbled carbonation are better than average; and the flavor delivers a very well-balanced combination of grainy malt; floral, grassy, and spicy hops; and solid bitterness. It finishes with a flourish of hop flavor that's pretty much subdued across the middle by the fullness of the malt. I've been enjoying the Stoudt's beers for close to 20 years now, and this is no exception, regardless of the label.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
