On tap (nitro):
Pours a nice dark brown, with a sustaining light tan head, which coats the glass a bit with lacing. The nose is nicely subdued chocolate, vanilla, and coffee, with an ever so light hint of berry tartness.
Taste is a bit more coffee and roasted grain flavors, chocolate and vanilla not quite recognizeable. There's also a woody or nutty flavor to the beer. The flavors remind me of a Baltic porter I had recently. The feel is, however, a bit thin; however, it's also smooth at a warmer temperature.
A decent brew, could use a little depth to the raised flavors and definitely some body, but there's potential here.
