Listed on the tap menu as a Belgian Strong Golden Ale fermented with a Belguan yeast strain for a dry finish.
This beer pours like a Belguan White, light yellow to golden but with a decent cloudiness. Head is fairly lasting and provides lacing, though.
Nose is on the sweeter side with a Belgian yeast note.
Taste is a hint of banana with a lightly sweeter malt base to open. A little more full in body and presence on the palate than I expected. A light tang to even tart note creeps in at times. Has some of the qualities of other Belguan strongs, but also has some notes of wheat beers, to me.
A fine drinking beer, for sure. Maybe the restaurant mis-labeled it, but given the ABV, I'm doubting it. Maybe it's meant to be a crossover beer (Imperial Belgian Wit??) but the brewery had nothing on their site. Basically not what I am looking for in a Strong ale.

We love reviews (150 characters or more)! Check out: How to Review a Beer. You don't need to get fancy. Drop some thoughts on the beer's attributes (look, smell, taste, feel) plus your overall impression. Something that backs up your rating and helps others. Thanks!
