Robust coffee and cocoa aroma leads into creamy mouthfeel and roasty flavor of this rich brew. Delicately hopped with English Fuggle, allows the chocolatey flavor to linger.

On tap at Lost Dog McLean. Poured into a shaker pint glass.
More English or Export Stout than Oatmeal Stout. I missed the oatmeal and think Fair Winds missed on this one. Rated to style. 3.0

T - Roasty, some coffee. 3.5
MF - Medium bodied with a dry bitter finish. Never would have guessed that this beer was an oatmeal stout. 3.0

On tap at brewery:
This is a good basic stout. It pours a non-black dark brown. The head is light, beige. Not much lacing at all, but some clinging bubbles on a swirl.
Nose is of roast d malt, not smoky, but maybe burnt toast. Simple, classic.
Taste is similarly classic, slightly dry. Roasted leaning coffee, but staying I the beer realm. Bitterness seems more from riast than hops, but there is a softer side to the bitterness that makes me think there's an intervention there.
Expect a solid stout, I'd say. No frills, just a good, solid beer.
