On tap at brewery:
A deep amber bleeding a little into the brown part of the palette. Head isn’t stark against the darker body, but is close to white. The head coverage is pretty good to the point that there is no issue leaving a bit on the glass.
Nose is toasted grain with a berry/tangerine fruitiness - blueberry seems to come to mind in most sniffs. A medium leaning light feel, the carbonation having just enough prickliness to reinforce the lighter side.
Taste leans on the medium toasted malts as a sturdy backbone. The slightly citrus flavors cut this a tad and keep the beer from being “too malty” - though the carbonation and relatively dry finish help as well. There’s a hard to describe cedar/pine/blueberry tea flavor that keeps the beer grounded and the malts from being removed from the equation.
Overall a balanced beer that I’d personally classify as an American pale ale with its dry, malt earthiness driving the beer with some fruity hop accents to keep the beer from being boring.
