Alte Klosterbrauerei Vierzehnheiligen Brauerei Trunk "Nothelfer Pils"
,5L brown glass bottle, "Mindestens halter bis: 11 01 18" and sampled on 23 09 17

Look: Somewhat hazy straw gold body beneath a two finger thick head of bright white foam. Average head retention and lacing.
Smell: Lightly sweetish grainy golden malt with some spicy and herbal hops in the background.
Taste: As the aroma suggests, but fuller of course. The sweetish grainy malt appears upfront but is quickly joined by the spicy and herbal hops, and then a rising bitterness that takes it to a mostly dry finish with just a dollop of sweetish malt that fades steadily away.
Feel: Medium bodied with a crisp, standard carbonation.
Overall: A high quality, very well brewed and superbly balanced Pils that offers a very firm bitterness that falls halfway between the very dry Pilsners of northern Germany and the softer versions from the south. Refreshing and highly drinkable.
