Beautiful golden west coast IPA. Strong hoppy smell and taste. Amazingly clean feel (not syrupy like many double IPA's).

First had Nervous Waters Big Smack IPA poured from 22-oz. bomber into nonic pint. This is a beautiful, big, but unsubtle and overly-complicated beer, which probably would have been better without the honey.

Pours a clear, copper color. One inch head of an off-white color. Great retention and great lacing. Smells of strong citrus hops, sweet malt, alcohol, hop resin, and a hint of floral hops. Fits the style of an American Double / Imperial IPA. Mouth feel is sharp and crisp, with a high carbonation level. Tastes of strong citrus hops, sweet malt, alcohol, hop resin, and a hint of floral hops. Overall, great appearance, decent aroma, body, and blend.

Pours cloudy orange with a white head. Good retention and lacing. Smells sweet with a bit of citrus. No alcohol detected.Fairly smooth with a hint of citrus and honey. Medium body. Nice hops finish, not bitter at all.The 9.3% alcohol is well hidden. This is my first from Chandeleur and I am anxious to try others.

Strong orange taste with a slow, muted bitter finish. Fairly crisp. Translucent burnt orange color. Decent lacing. Deceptively strong at 9.3% ABV. Another great beer from Chandeleur Brewing Company.
