Perpetual Motion is inspired by Walter Anderson's epic bike rides across the South and beyond. No matter how far he traveled, he always returned home, bringing with him new ideas and fresh inspiration. To capture his adventures, this year's partnership between Chandeleur Island Brewing Company and the Walter Anderson Museum of Art also includes Matt Stebly of Twisted Anchor Tattoo -- great-grandson of Walter Anderson. This beer is a complex Sour Red Ale brewed with Gold Tap local honey, lemon peels, fresh rosemary, and Sonnet hops. Then, to sweeten the ride we added apricot juice, Florida Satsuma juice, and golden raisins that were fermented with mead yeast to give it that extra bit of adventure. This beer combined with Matt Stebly's art speaks to the never-ending cycle of Mississippi's creativity that flows across the generations.
