Pours a sumptuous amber to sable in hue. Loosely packed sandy foam shy of a finger high soon dissipates to a ring.
Smell is glorious. Yep, this is an AMERICAN barleywine. Centennial hops call me in. Also, a caramel malt note follows.
Taste is takes off where the nose left off. Malt stays in for the whole show, but the mix of hops brings some floral hints, resin, and pine.
Mouthfeel is solid, and slightly slick.
