Picked up a single can at Cedarville Wine and Spirits in Plymouth, Massachusetts for about four dollars. My third brew reviewed from these guys. Canned on date of 3/25/25. Just ok for me, very boozy, not picking up much peanut butter.

Poured into a Fremont small snifter. Pours a very dark mahogany brown, appearing nearly opaque in the glass with a quarter finger khaki head that dissipates to a thin film with light lacing. Aroma of dark toasted malt, coffee, cocoa and mild peanut butter. Flavor follows, with dark toasted malt, drip coffee, cocoa and light peanuts; a faint salt tang in the finish. Medium bodied with light to moderate creaminess My last Speedway variant from this year. Has the classic Speedway coffee forward deep malt with chocolate notes and a little peanut character, but the latter is muted. The most notable flavor is the light salt in the finish, which seems appropriate for a peanut adjunct, but is uncommon for this style. The stout is rich and flavorful, but I would have liked a bit more peanut butter character. Still an enjoyable big stout.

Poured from a 16 ounce can dated 3-3-25 into a snifter at 55 degrees.
Look- Black, opaque, dark brown sudsy head, plentiful visible particulate at the margins, very below average head retention and lacing.
Smell- Coffee, peanuts, cacao, medium strength of scent.
Taste- Coffee, cacao, peanut, between medium and high strength of flavor.
Feel- Medium body, slightly below average carbonation, highly bitter, moderately mouth warming.
Overall- Black and opaque with well below average head retention and lacing. Nose was a mix of coffee, peanuts and cacao. The flavor followed the nose, but in both the peanut seemed out of place. The body was thinner than expected and the carbonation was a touch low. The beer didn’t have any mouth coating property. Overall this was a decent beer, but I prefer base Speedway Stout by a large margin.

As others described its rather underwhelming mostly dry peanut taste a touch of bitter sweet chocolate and a rather boozy hit of coffee making the ABV well know, The smell as well is kind of muted no chocolate no peanut butter, Its a kind of harsh and heavy brew which makes me yearn of the regular speedway. Pass if you can

This one pours a fairly dark black color, with a small head, and not much lacing.
This smells more like peanut butter cup than the classic coffee of Speedway Stout, with some vanilla and chocolate too.
This is feels a little bit unbalanced, as there’s a lot of peanut butter and milk chocolate here, and some of the more interesting coffee notes I love in Speedway Stout are a bit more muddled now.
This is creamy, and quite decadent, with very little booziness.
This wasn’t completely my favorite of the many takes on Speedway, but it was still enjoyable.

L: Pours a very dark brown, forming a fairly robust espresso head which fades quickly. There is a hint of effervescence betraying some activity in the body of the beer, but the surface remains otherwise unremarkable with no lacing or retention. Near-black and opaque hue.
S: Coffee roast, dark chocolate, and a hint of peanuts and salt. Faint note of roasted malts.
T: The peanuts are perhaps a bit muted and arise in the back end. Front is dominated by cacao nibs and roast coffee. Fairly bitter. The beer is primarily chocolate-y, roast-y, with some malt influence at its base. The peanuts and hint of sea salt are felt in the finish. The relative intensity of the flavors somewhat belies the name of the beer, but it drinks better this way. The peanuts don't need to dominate.
F: Medium- to full-bodied, biased towards full. Has a rich, silky, heavy mouthfeel. Decadent. Light carbonation.
O: Although not a huge fan of peanuts, this beer blends them into the speedway stout base nicely.

Look - Pours a solid black color with a good head that disappears fairly quickly.
Smell - Smells of dark chocolate and bitter coffee. I'm not getting any peanut butter in the nose.
Taste - Tastes of chocolate and coffee, but still not much peanut butter/peanut butter cup flavor.
Feel - Mouthfeel is ok, but perhaps a little on the bitter side for my liking.
Overall - A somewhat disappointing stout from Alesmith, which I find slightly bitter without enough peanut butter cup flavor.

On tap at Alesmith.
Pours like typical Speedway. Deep, dark, and lovely. Mochas colored head rises to a firm finger+ and slowly settles to a dense ring.
Deep chocolate notes blend with coffee. A hint of the roasted peanuts comes through after a bit.
Flavor shows a bit more of the peanut but it is timid amongst the chocolate and coffee notes.
Mouthfeel is a tad thinner than most Speedway versions I've enjoyed.
