Brewed yearly for the Ventura Highland Games that take place in October. Poured into standard 16oz pint glass. Brass colored beer w a bit of haze. Sticky on the glass though light on lacing. Typical Scottish malt aromas, biscuits and caramel. Flavor is bold, clearly a Wee Heavy w some smoky (Scotch whisky) type flavors. Almost seems like it was aged briefly in an Islay barrel, though I'm certain it wasn't. Long lasting and extremely complex. Mouthfeel is creamy though a bit light or short lived. Would benefit greatly from a nitro pour. Very good beer!
