Consumed January 2nd, 2012 at the brewery.
Hazy light golden with a fine white head.
Tiny amount of pepper is the only thing my nose could discern.
Flavor is watery and weak; this is more an American Wheat Ale than a Witbier. Soft powdery yeast and a touch of lemon zest. Husky grain and a minuscule amount of wheat tang in the background. Low bitterness.
Properly carbonated at least.
Bland example of a "heffenwizen" for the ladies.

Sampled 11/23/2010 at the brewpub.
Pours slightly hazy but mostly clear yellow, low head, retention, and lacing.
Aroma is heavy on the black pepper and lemon with a little bit of wheat.
Flavor is surprisingly light and bland. A touch of citrus and a touch of wheat is all you get besides the malty golden ale. Medium bitterness.
Light body and low drinkability. Meh.
