Rich black color. Charred malt, espresso, mouthful of dark chocolate. Big roasted malt flavor and bitter coffee. Really nice

On-tap at Anacapa
Pours black in color with a creamy khaki colored head. Tons of coffee on the nose. Great espresso, some dark chocolate, a hint of cocoa, and a nice roast profile. Light earthy hop notes as well. The flavor is really heavy on the espresso, of course, a hint of coffee grounds, earthy hops, and tons of roast. A touch of dark chocolate and a very mild bitterness. Really nice body for a relatively moderate ABV/gravity beer.
