I'm drinking the 2023 Dark Olympus Port Barrel Imperial Stout. I didn't think it was worth making a new listing for the Port Barrel version.
I'm having it as part of a barrel aged tasting flight at Beveridge Place Pub. It's right next to Deschutes Abyss (2018), a famous and much loved beer. The Chainline is fairly similar, maybe even slightly better. The Chainline has the Port barrel flavor, quite prominently.

375ml corked/caged bottle served in a Red Hook sample glass.
Dark brown/black with little or no head. Smell is roasty bitterness and slightly burnt brownies.
Taste is lots of anise, some dark chocolate, burnt toast.
Mouthfeel is thick and gritty. Overall, it's a pretty decent imperial stout.

Poured into a Fremont small snifter. Pours a very dark mahogany brown, appearing nearly opaque in the glass with a quarter finger dark khaki head that dissipates to a thick film with light lacing. Aroma of dark toasted and biscuit malt, cocoa, molasses and some graham cracker. Flavor is dark toasted malt with light char, dark chocolate and a little coffee; coffee and chocolate in the finish. Medium bodied with light to moderate creaminess, moderately silky mouth feel. A big, solid chocolatey stout. A touch of char gives the malt some coffee character and the finish is fine, with lingering mocha notes long after the finish. Nicely done. Looking forward to the same stout in a barrel aged version, which were apparently bottled at the same time.
