Good things come to those who wait. For Belgian farmers, it was the beer they brewed over the long winter months to produce a refreshing Saison for their seasonal workers to enjoy. Our Farmhouse Ale pays tribute to those innovators, who rewarded their farm hands with up to 5 liters for a day’s work. Light, crisp, and semi-tart, this Farmhouse Ale will please your palate.

Two 16 oz cans. One into a nonic pint glass. The other into a champagne flute.
L: Pours almost clear caramel with vigorous carbonation, a steady thin off-white head that has fantastic retention, scattered light lacing.
S: Apple cider, stone fruit, a hint of bread, leather, fairly floral.
T: Gently sweet then a bit sour, lemon, grapefruit zest, yeast, pear, bread dough, light barnyard esp in the finish, green strawberry, green melon rind. Remains lightly sweet throughout and is moderately tart.
F: Brisk, lightly creamy then soapy, med to med-light bodied. Has a slightly puckering center and a very dry med-length finish.
O: A quenching beer with smoothness and tart to sour fruit tastes interspersed creating a mildly punchy and lovely drink. I'm taking gulps of it. It is very good in its style.
**I enjoyed this beer more poured into a fluted glass vs a pint glass.

A little spicy, nice flavor for the light ABV. Easy drinker, no complaints.

12oz canned 7/10/18 BB 1/6/19 poured into a pint glass at fridge temp 4.5% ABV. The beer pours mostly bright light golden amber in color with short lived nearly white head. The head recedes to a few bubbles and leaves no lacing. The aroma is slight clove. The taste is semisweet apples with a major clove hit mid-palate. No bitterness. Mouthfeel is medium bodied, adequately carbonated and undry in the finish. It's hard to tell with this style, but I'm getting major funky butter in the finish that does not belong there. Overall, fair to less than fair.

Had on tap at Highway 79 brewing by Hot Springs, SD. Poured into a well-frosted conical pint with about one finger of head and a bit of frozen slush. As it warmed it smelled of a bit of barnyard funk (in the good way). Complex taste as one washed it around the tongue. Enjoyed the mouthfeel, though it was mostly cold (it was a 104 degree day - drank it quickly). This is a tasty farmhouse ale...I'll get it again when I see it.
