Adorable 8 oz can
Pours opaque black, no head retention.
Smells of maple, pecan, molasses, and oak.
Flavor is of maple, molasses, plum, brown sugar, caramel, oak, pecan, and bourbon.
Full body, stinging carbonation on the tongue, warms a bit going down.
Vert tasty, rich, and slow drinking. This is the sweetest one of the four I think. Still very good but the one that threatens to be overwhelming. I like all four of them but the tiramisu one wins I think. This is still really good.

Glossy dark black with a short mocha head that dies quickly to a thin chain.
Spicy, peppery bourbon underlies a dark chocolate foreground accented by a touch of cassia bark. A mature barrel presence adds caramelized maple notes with accents of cocoa dusted fig.
The body is a little sticky and viscous but overall smooth and moderate of heft, with a fine carbonation and a solidly warming heat that kicks up a nice mild char in the exhale.
This and the Brandy Tiramisu version are really quite nice and well done for such early takes on big, bold barrel aged stouts, for both Birdfish and Crooked Tongue.
