Adorable 8 oz can
Pours opaque black, tan ring for a head.
Aroma is of toffee, caramel, coconut, rum, fig, and oak.
Flavor is of molasses, caramel, fig, coconut, toast, pecan, rum, and oak.
Full body, sting of carbonation on the tongue. Warms a bit going down.
Tasty! I like this one a lot, it has a unique flavor. Stands out a bit from most big stouts because of this. The rum and coconut mesh together pretty well. It's rich but not cloying. First of the series of four of these for me and I look forward to the next three.

Dark black with a tan head that quickly fizzles out.
Dark chocolate and cocoa dusted date pair with very mild coconut and a more assertive spiced rum barrel heat. Subsequent sips to bring out some Mounds candy bar, but still, it's worth repeating, it's a very mild coconut presence. The barrel actually helps to emulate more of a nougatty vanilla marshmallow character, especially in exhale. It's fairly forward of dark fruit at times, though.
The medium yet viscous body has a fine, lifting effervescence before the semi-sticky finish.
