Adorable 8 oz can
Pours opaque black, tan ring for a head.
Aroma is of brown sugar, faint blueberry, and some oak.
Flavor is caramel, blueberry, pecan, fig, brown sugar, pie crust, hint of vanilla, and brandy.
Full body with a stinging carbonation and a bit of warmth going down.
Second in the series of four for me. Good flavor and slow drinking. Could sip this slowly for a while. Taste is good, unique, and memorable although maybe not right up my alley personally. The brandy is pretty subdued. The vanilla starts to come through more as it warms up. I like this one about the same as the last, which is to say it's pretty good and worth trying.

Glossy stark black with a short mocha head that dies quickly to a fine gold chain.
Possibly the most mature variant of the series, as far as casking is concerned, the adjuncts are minimal, but make a nice appearance on the exhale. The nose is spicy brandy barrel with some Raisinets, faint blueberry and toasted marshmallow. On the palate, the smooth, medium-full round body has a tingly, crisp carbonation that lifts up a nice dark roast and some cocoa dusted dates in place of the blueberry.
Overall it's just a well made, finely matured barrel aged stout that is quite potent without the heat, and pretty drinkable, coming to a semi-sticky finish.
