Served on tap in a sample glass, came recommended as the waiter's favorite at the brewery.
Appearance: Darker brown with a thin beige head the lingered and mild lacing on the glass.
Smell: Sweeter with a nutty and coffee scent.
Mouthfeel/Taste: Smooth medium bodied. Sweet nutty taste with a hint of hops and coffee.
Overall: Good brown. I would have this one again.

From the brewpub in St. Augustine. Deep dark brown with nearly no head. Aroma is a roasty and a hint of chocolate. Flavor is a bit sweet and a little tart, strangely enough not any roast or brown-ale like qualities to this brew. Unexpected but not a bad beer, but don't expect brown ale. Sweet malt with a hint of citrus. Medium light mouthfeel with low carbonation. Meh.

Single finger head on a clear deep amber body with aroma of molasses, caramel, candy sugar and citrus hops. flavor is mildly bitter and tart with earthy hops, caramel, syrup and toasted malts. Medium body and medium carbonation. Simple and a bit disorganized in the flavor. Definitely better choices in the menu here.

On-tap at A1A. Pours a dark brown color with a creamy head that leaves a good amount of lacing around the glass. The aroma is a very nice with a sweet malty base with some notes of chocolate. The taste like the aroma is sweet and malty with chocolate and caramel flavors with a lightly hopped finish. The mouthfeel is medium bodied with a good amount of carbonation. Overall, this is a pretty solid Brown Ale that is recommended.

Draft ON 03/17/2005.
Poured a brown clolor with a frothy tan head that mostly lasted with fair lacing.
Aroma was complex toasted nutty.
Flavor was a medium malt with a sweet finish of moderate duration.
Good brew, maybe the best of house for style.

This brown ale is called Bridge of Lions Brown Ale now.
Appearance: clear brown in color with a short one finger head that falls quickly to a spotty surface foam. Mild lacing developed.
Smell: caramels and light nuttiness are easy to detect by the nose.
Taste: mild breadiness here. Caramel, hints of nuts, and a bit of earthiness are paired with a soft bitterness. Straight forward brown ale.
Mouthfeel: lightly crisp to start, smooth at the finish. Very brief aftertaste. Thin bodied.
Drinkability: very easy to quaff this as it is a thinner bodied brew with a decent flavor.
