a really sturdy, fresh, flavorful, and delicious ipa that i think easily stands out from a crowd, which is increasingly rare in this style, where more and more of these beers are all starting (and continuing) to taste the same. this has just a bit of color to it without looking malty in the traditional sense, a little haze without being hazy, and a high white head from the tap with wonderful hold. its got a distinctive hop profile of fresh christmas tree, crisp green apple, sweet orange, and a bit of cannabis as well, a neat mix of pine notes, fruity hints, and dankness, all in a supremely well balanced and drinkable format, with just enough grain character for this to feel rounded out and complete, but never enough to make it sweet or heavy at all, and with a really tidy fermentation, drier at the end and without any appreciable yeast flavor in here. the hops also hint at grapefruit flesh, green grape, and lemongrass, with a resinous feel in the middle but a lighter, cleaner finish, aided by incredibly lively carbonation. this feels really professionally made to me, well thought out, and really dialed in. i sucked two of them down like water after a day that included quite a bit of beer drinking. each sip was new and fresh and fully satisfying, and overall i was thrilled with this. definitely going to be seeking out more of their stuff next time i am up in washington, both i have had from them so far have been great!

Clear amber brew with a nice pile of foam in the Pilsner glass. Mellow and sudsy. It doesn't start off like a serious IPA, which is fine with me. They claim this is brewed with "imported German malts," which seems like an expensive proposition, but it was just $5.50 for the 22 oz bottle.
There is a resiny hop tang along with an interesting nutty taste. Not very bitter as you sip, but there is a little more bitterness along with the flinty aftertaste. Clean and pleasant, easy to quaff. Purchased at Elizabeth Station in Bellingham.
