Pour is a nice, clear amber. Aroma is piney with a touch of citrus - from the Ekuanot and Mosaic hops. Taste is upfront bitter, probably more forward than some would like in an APA, but we enjoyed it. Finish is clean. Feel is good, good carbonation. Earlier reviews noted some "off" notes in the taste, but we didn't pick up any in our sample from March '24, so perhaps they fixed those issues.

ABV is a modest 5%, so enjoy a couple.

Clear golden amber brew with modest foam in the chalice. Not as spritzy as typical. Mild aroma of lemon. Taste is grainy with a mineral finish. Quite dry. Overall, this is kind of woody and bitter. Not much redeeming value but it's fairly old. Hops are listed as Ekuanot and Mosaic. From the 12 oz can dated 06/28/22.

A hoppy ale, 56 IBU. Enjoyed but not an everyday choice

Poured from 12oz can into a dimpled mug. Best by 11/3/21. This appears to be marketed as "Pacific Crest Pale" as well.

Appearance: medium-golden hue with a bit of haze and a thin finger of frothy ivory foam. Not too bad.

Smell: light malt character with a slightly dank, slightly herbal hop character. Not too bad.

Taste: slightly sweet malt with a bit of grassy hop character and a light bitterness. There's maybe something oxidized or something here; I am getting kind of unusual tea-like notes. It's not terrible, but there are definitely some off flavors going on here.

Mouthfeel: medium body with a moderate carbonation and decent creaminess.

Overall: yeah, this beer is just kind of weird. It doesn't seem like a bad formulation, but I feel like there are off-flavors here.

12oz can (best by date of 10/19/21) poured into 16oz tulip. Poured a gold-yellow color with less than 1/4 inch of white head that immediately dissipated and left no lacing.

The aroma had an earthy grain base, with soft floral and pine hops.

Similar on the tongue, some grain and subdued hops.

The body was a touch on the full side of medium, smooth, and had a semi-sweet finish.

Drinkability was good, and easy drinker, even if a bit bland.

Overall, a solid, basic brew that's not particularly notable. Worth the tick.
