i would have liked this even more if i didnt have it next to their fresh hop cashmere ipa, which was so epic that this really couldnt compare, but on its own its still an impressive brew, maybe fading some, not sure when it came out, but it doesnt have anywhere near the pungency of the cashmere one, and really wasnt all that obvious to me as el dorado, which i consider to be one of the most distinctive and identifiable varietals, so definitely a little muted. the haziness isnt an issue here, its not starchy or sedimented or heavy in the least, and the high carbonation helps keep it light. i almost miss some bitterness here, like it might help the hop profile seem a little more complete. i do get some soft melon and tangerine notes here, and there is impressive cleanness overall for a hazy. these guys make great beer, hops seem like one of their core competencies, i was impressed with the ones i had. mellow, i dont mean to undersell this, its really tasty, but the cashmere was on another level.
