Picked up a 4 pack of bottle conditioned Glenaldus. Really glad I did. Poured a beautiful rich mahogany colored brew with nice ruby accents to the light. Decent 2 finger head to start but dropped fairly quickly... with some nice lacing though. Nose and taste were classic scots ale. Good example of style. But bottle conditioning really came through on smoothness and drinkability. Almost cask like. All in all an ale that reminds of many very good scots ales from Scotland. Kudos for pulling this off in PA!

Almost an amber in appearance, rather clear. The aroma is great, excellent malt with caramel and even some dark fruit. Taste follows, delicious. Medium mouth feel and maybe a bit cloying. Overall a pretty solid Scotch that I enjoyed very much.
