this is on the board at the brewery now as pepper ruths, im sure this listing is for the same beer, their house ruths lager with a trio of fresh peppers in it, really cool idea for jazzing it up, if these are not the same beer, someone let me know, but i hate to create a duplicate listing. i love how fresh the peppers taste in here, and how obvious and natural and forward they are, all while not being particularly hot, or rather not hot at all by most standards, despite smelling a little bit fierce, it really is a cool expression of the peppers and they work super well with the light earthy and bready malt tones in this base lager, which doesnt lose any of its characteristic crispness with the pepper addition. its awesome how the peppers are fleshy and real, and how they are present from start to finish without ever taking over, i think they must dose each keg individually for this, seems like a lot to commit to a full batch of this, but the results, at least this go round, are downright impressive. i usually consider this sort of thing a novelty, but i could do pints of it, and can only imagine how good of a bloody mary beer it would be, downright delicious!
